Strengthening the Participatory Mechanisms of the Youth Climate Council

Given the growing significance and intensifying nature of climate change—the impacts of which will be most acutely felt by young, future generations (Thompson, 2022)—there is a corresponding need to ensure the adequate representation of the younger generation's interests in decision-making processes. It is therefore essential to conduct an analysis of the current operational model of the Youth Climate Council (MRK), which has raised doubts regarding its effectiveness and level of social engagement.
